She received her MFA from the LeRoy E. Hoffberger School of Painting at the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2026. Hanwen completed her BFA (2017) and MFA (2020) at the Academy of Fine Arts of Turin, Italy. Her work has been presented in solo and double solo exhibitions in venue names and country Pinkard Gallery, Baltimore,MD, X Gallery, Dalian, China, Horizon Art Space, Beijing, China. and in group exhibitions including the Peale Museum, , AIR Gallery, Suzhou Bay Museum, Beijing Contemporary Art Expo, and exhibitions at Yuan Art Museum.
